This October, we're celebrating Black History Month by bringing you dishes inspired by Afro-Caribbean heritage. Each week, our outlets will feature special menus that showcase the flavours, ingredients, and traditions of Black culinary history.
Most of these dishes have been created by our chefs, drawing inspiration from their own cultures and traditions – so every plate comes with a story.
We’ll be rotating dishes across our outlets, so there’s something new to discover every day – from rich stews to fragrant curries and fiery grills. Whether you’re looking for comforting plant-based options or bold, spice-packed meals, there’ll be something for everyone.
What's on the menu this week?
The Special of the Day from 29 September - 3 October:
- Monday at Shaw Café: Butterbean, sweet potato and okra stew
- Tuesday at Fourth Floor Restaurant: Goat curry served with fried plantains or garlic herb baked okra and rice
- Wednesday at Staff Dining Room: Gumbo with spicy braised rice, chicken, sausage, prawns and bell peppers
- Thursday at Coopers Restaurant: Surprise daily specials
- Friday at Shaw Café: West African peanut stew
