We might be a bit biased – but one of the best parts of uni can definitely be the food!
If you're a foodie at heart, here are some things you should tick off your food and drink bucket list during your time as an LSE student.
✅ Make your own freshly squeezed juice
Start your day feeling energised and refreshed with a freshly-squeezed juice from Beaver's Brew or Shaw Café, made right in front of you. You can choose a juice combo from the menu, or add some fun into your day by making your own. Combine fresh fruit and veg to make a tangy citrus blend, a green detox juice or tropical mix.
Our barista recommends combining ginger, pear, apple and spinach!
✅ Save yourself some money with a Too Good To Go bag
Did you know some LSE outlets may have bags of discounted, surplus food up for grabs on the Too Good To Go app? Help us fight food waste while getting a tasty bargain by checking the app towards the end of the day, and picking up some cheap goodies before heading home.
Find out more on how it all works.
✅ Host a social or get together in Beaver's Retreat
Beaver's Retreat is our newly refurbished bar located upstairs in George IV available for private bookings for up to 50 people! So whether you're celebrating an achievement, want to organise an event with your society or simply having a birthday party, the food, drinks and atmosphere is great here.
✅ Collect 250 points on the LSE Food Club app
Download our loyalty app to start collecting points every time you spend on campus, and get access to a range of exclusive deals and discounts to help save you money throughout the year.
Collect 5 points for every £1 you spend, and save your points up to spend in our cafés and restaurants where 5 points gets you 5p off your buy. Some of our students save up all of their points and spend it all at once at the end of the year!
✅ Try one of our staff's favourite dishes on campus
Some of our lovely catering team have shared some fun facts about themselves to help you get to know them a bit better, including their favourite dish on campus. From hearty mains to sweet treats, why not try one of their recommendations and see how it tastes for yourself?
